Case study
Uganda Media Center
A digital presence built to match institutional authority — fast, accessible, and structured for trust.
The brief
An institutional website that needed to feel as authoritative as the organisation.
Uganda Media Center is a key communications institution — their website needed to project authority, load fast on any connection, and be accessible to every visitor. The existing site was slow, hard to navigate, and didn't reflect the organisation's standing.
Institutional websites carry a different kind of pressure — every visitor expects them to work perfectly.
The process
How we got there.
Discovery & architecture
We mapped the information architecture around how visitors actually use the site — finding press releases, accessing media resources, and contacting the team. No unnecessary complexity.
Development
Built on Next.js with performance and accessibility as first-order requirements, not afterthoughts. Server-side rendering for instant page loads, semantic HTML for screen readers, and responsive design tested across every breakpoint.
Testing & deployment
Load testing for traffic spikes during major announcements. Accessibility audit against WCAG 2.1 AA. Performance optimisation for 3G connections. Full deployment with monitoring.
The brand
Built for speed, structured for trust.
